CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By purchasing a basket or "share" regularly, you are not only gaining access to all kinds of fresh produce at the farm, you are also helping to support local farmers! Note: the crops are not organic/certified organic, they are for the most part, organically grown. For example, there are items that must be sprayed at times, such as the fruit trees, and thus treed fruits are not organically grown.
Required yearly shares to purchase: 12 (one per month).
No other contract! Cancel your subscription by contacting Amanda at the number above.
The standard shares consist of 11-14 different types of produce, including vegetables, fruits and sometimes herbs. They are set up to feed a family of 4 for 1-2 weeks! Or, choose to customize your order any way you'd like! The 40 points (equal to $40) for the minimum basket may be used for produce, honey, meats and eggs. Use your points first, then you may also add any of the other items in all categories, including all our kinds of eggs, honey, soaps, and more! The Online Store opens on Friday's about noon for all locations except our Saturday locations, where it opens early Sunday morning.
1. Family owned and operated
2. Local - all our locations are within 2 hours from us
3. Been in business for 9 years now
NOTE: We have a NO CANCELLATION POLICY. If you have a week you are scheduled for a basket but will not be available that week, you may set a "Delivery Hold" on your account. If you do not set your delivery hold prior to the Online Store closing, your account will order your standard basket, to which you are required to pay.
When you pick up your order, check your items to make sure your order was filled correctly and all looks great! The If there is a mistake with your basket, please contact Amanda the same day. Mistakes will be credited on your account promptly.
Perishable items are bagged for transporting to you. Please remove the items from the plastic bags right away, as condensation will harm them if left in the bags. Dry all items and store properly. To prolong the life of your produce, we highly recommend purchasing veggie keepers, which come in the form of papers, bags and containers. Any question for how to store an item, we’re here to help!
While enjoying the different produce selections in your basket, if you have a recipe you've used for your CSA items and would like to share it, we welcome you to join us on social media. We have a main Facebook page and Instagram page (@CountryMarketCSA), which are great to join! That's a great way to learn about unique items and ways of preparing them!
Kenny and I would like to personally thank you for your interest in Country Market! We're excited to have your area as part of our delivery schedule and look forward to speaking with you soon!
